The problem
Brains store memories by strengthening synapses that fire together. A memristor remembers the last current through it, which makes it a natural candidate for an artificial synapse.
How it works
- 1Studied how memristors map onto spiking, multilayer, convolutional and recurrent neural networks
- 2Built a threshold type memristor emulator circuit
- 3Simulated it in PSpice with a 2.5 V, 5 Hz sine input
Result
The simulation showed the memristor behaviour that lets it act as a synapse in a neural network.
